This Sinful Sunday I’m sharing a fun Scavenger Hunt picture that will be hard to match. This is quite a special one because as far as I am aware, this is quite specific to northern Europe and these are in the Netherlands even quite specific to a certain region. In Dutch it is called a hunebed and the only thing close I could find to describing it in English is either dolmen or megalithic structure. I find that both are nothing like what I want to describe so I’ll just describe it and show it to you. The stones are a left over from the ice age. When the glacier melted, they got left behind and they where used to build these structures. Theories are that they where used as burial places but they also could have been used as shelter.
As you can see in the background, there is a path behind it, next to it and on the other side there also was a path and there where quite a bit of people up and about.
Of course actually getting on it required some ninja moves and a few scrapes after almost slipping.
Of course when I got my dress down, I could see people behind me on the path that where making their way to us.
